History
Gamebookers has been in existence since October 1998. In early 2000, Gatcombe Park Ventures Limited, London came on board as an investor and in June 2000 gamebookers was up and running. Since that time over 145,000 customers from all over the world have signed up with gamebookers. In fact, gamebookers pioneered the online sports betting market. We were the first all-in-one shop for sports bettors covering a huge range of bets combined with in-depth sports news, information tools and community functions. We were the first to combine traditional bookmaking with the possibility of direct betting between customers. And we were the first bookmaker allowing its customers to sell their bets back to the house. As a result of gamebookers’ many innovations, the most competitive Internet platform for betting has been created - making gamebookers both the ultimate destination for the online sports betting experience and a clear product leader in the marketplace. In 2002-2004, local subsidiaries in the UK, Austria and Irleand were acquired to gradually transform the gamebookers group from an offshore into an onshore bookmaker.
